WEEKLY BULLETIN – 11th JANUARY 2026 (BAPTISM OF THE LORD)

SCHOOL MASS:  Children from St. Denis’ Primary School will join us at 10.00am Mass this Tuesday, 13th January, to celebrate the feast of St. Kentigern.  Why not come along and join us.

RCAG Young Adult | St Mungo’s City Pilgrimage Walk | Sat 17th Jan 2026, 1000 – 1500:  Join RCAG Youth for a pilgrimage walk through Glasgow, exploring historic sites and celebrating our patron saint, St Mungo. A chance to pray, meet new people, and enjoy the city together. Open to anyone aged 16-35

Ecumenical Service to mark the Feast of St Mungo: Sunday 11th Jan 4.00 p.m. 2026 in Glasgow Cathedral, Castle Street, G4 0QZ. Join with Church and Civic Leaders in words and song to celebrate the Feast of St Mungo, our Patron Saint. All Welcome.

CHRISTMAS CRIB – ST. MARGARET’S CHILDREN AND FAMILY CARE SOCIETY.  REMEMBER TO VISIT THE CRIB AND PRAY FOR YOUR INTENTIONS.   ALL DONATIONS PUT IN THE ANGEL AT THE CRIB WILL BE GIVEN TO HELP WITH THE WORK OF THE ABOVE SOCIETY.  PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY.

Vespers of St Mungo: Organised by Glasgow Churches Together/The St Mungo’s Festival.  St Andrew’s Cathedral, Clyde St Glasgow, Monday 12th Jan 2026 7pm. All are Welcome to this Traditional Evening Prayer for Christians. Vespers consists of an evening hymn accompanying the lighting of the evening candles, then 'O God, come to our aid', prayer, Psalms, the Canticle known as the Magnificat or Song of Our Lady, some intercessions for the needs of the community, the Lord's Prayer and a blessing. Celebrate the Feast of our Patron Saint in this very special way.

Growing in Faith Retreat Days: Deepening faith and exploring the gift of active listening. St Aloysius Garnethill with the Ignatian Spirituality Centre, Glasgow. Four Saturdays, 10.30 – 3.00 (lunch provided; donation only). 17 January, 21 February, 21 March, and 18 April. Also, a Retreat in Daily Life starting after 12.00 Mass on Sunday 22 March. This lasts a week and gives individuals the opportunity to meet with a prayer guide every day.
