WEEKLY BULLETIN: 30th NOVEMBER 2025 (1st SUNDAY OF ADVENT)
TODAY STARTS THE BEGINNING OF ADVENT WHEN WE PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF JESUS. PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT DURING THIS TIME TO DO A LITTLE BIT EXTRA PRAYING TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
FIRST THURSDAY: There will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament this Thursday, 4th December, after 10am Mass until 12 noon. We are asked to come and pay a visit and pray for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.
ST. DENIS’ PRIMARY CHRISTMAS FAIR: This takes place on Saturday 6th December, 10.00am-12noon. Please try and go along and support our local primary school. Please see poster at back of church.
BLESSING OF THE CRIB: Glasgow’s annual Blessing of the Crib has been moved to the Cathedral Precincts at Glasgow Cathedral, Castle Street, G4 0QZ, due to George Square being closed for renovations. It will take place at 6.30pm on Wed. 3rd December. All welcome.
ADVENTURE: ADVENT PRAYER EVENINGS: FireCloud is holding two Advent evenings of Eucharistic adoration, reconciliation and music. All very welcome. Monday 1st December, 7-8pm, St. Patrick's Church, Old Kilpatrick. Tuesday 9th December, 7-8pm, St. Margaret’s Church, Clydebank.
SANDS LIGHT OF LOVE SERVICE: Wednesday 3rd December at 7pm in Immaculate Conception Church, Maryhill. Refreshments in the hall afterwards. This is a service for parents who have lost a baby at any stage of pregnancy – no matter how long ago; for grandparents, aunties, uncles and friends who were all affected. Music, poems and space to remember. All welcome

RCAG YOUNG ADULTS: Advent Reflection Evening with Archbishop Nolan, | Monday 8th December, 7pm to 9pm | St. Andrew’s Cathedral (G1 4JY). Young adults (16+) are invited to a special Advent evening to gather, pray, and prepare for the coming of Christ this Christmas. ADVENT 2025 AT ST JOSEPH’S CLARKSTON: Reflection sessions Mondays 7 - 9pm
Dec 1, Dec 8 (online) and Dec 15. With a team from the Ignatian Spirituality Centre. A time to prepare for Christmas by reflecting on the Advent scriptures using Ignatian tools. There will be space for personal prayer and community time. Feel free to come along - meeting in the Church. Please note the session on 8 December will be online.
